TITLE: Chuck Clothes
MATERIAL: acetal plastic, laminate, MDF, t-slot hardware

BRIEF: A storage design concept that maximizes flexibility and ease-of-use. In order to justify wall space, the unit needed to look good when full as well as empty.
SOLUTION: By drawing from modular storage and retail concepts, which require merchandising flexibility, we settled on a T-slot grid system. That simple off-the-shelf hardware permits a cost effective production and a simple twist and glide motion familiar to anyone who has tightened a screw. This fluid modularity atop the fixed grid began to resonate as wet paint on a canvas, hence the name Chuck Clothes–a cheeky nod to the pixel paintings of artist Chuck Close.
